WebGLRenderingContext: isBuffer() method

This feature is well established and works across many devices and browser versions. It’s been available across browsers since July 2015.

Note: This feature is available in Web Workers.

The WebGLRenderingContext.isBuffer() method of the WebGL API returns true if the passed WebGLBuffer is valid and false otherwise.

Syntax

isBuffer(buffer)

Parameters

buffer

A WebGLBuffer to check.

Return value

A GLboolean indicating whether or not the buffer is valid.

Creating a buffer

const gl = canvas.getContext("webgl");
const buffer = gl.createBuffer();

gl.isBuffer(buffer);
